Utopia Bat Works began operation in 2008 as a rookie to the industry but not to the game. Through joint business arrangements, UBW will be producing the highest quality Ash, Russian Maple and Bamboo/Maple Hybrid Bats for 2009. Additionally, UBW will be adding a baseball select series in ash and bamboo for the youth market. Using both conventional and high tech computerized lathes, the unfinished bats will meet or beat any competitive products in the marketplace. Additionally, custom laser engraving will be used to develop model ID’s and proprietary labels for the company. UBW will receive unfinished bats and then complete the process by using proprietary stains and unique color combinations to finish the bats for retail purchase.

Why wood?
How will they be different then the current products available for today’s customers? UBW believes that the customers who buy wood bats do so because of their like for wood over metal, the need to meet league requirements, collegiate exposure to wood as they prepare for the next step, the professional level. The product itself will be creative, address new socio-economic groups such as the Latino community and offer unique color applications not readily found in today’s marketplace. UBW hopes to provide the most unique products at the best value to price relationship in the baseball product category!
